Who’s who

Mr Steve Beegoo – Principal

Steve BeegooSteve Beegoo is the Principal of the school. He is married to Tammi and has three daughters, who all attend The King’s School. He was a Primary school teacher and deputy over 18 years with experience of a variety of schools, including a special school and a period as Y3/Y4 teacher at TKS from 2003-2006. He achieved the National Professional Qualification for Headteachers (NPQH) in 2003. He was the pastor of Bicester Community Church from 2004 to 2013 where he pioneered The King’s Pre-school and when he became OCC’s representative on the Oxfordshire SACRE. He worked part time at Bletchingdon C of E Primary from 2006 until 2013 when he took up his appointment as Principal of The King’s School, having also been Chairman of governors for 4 years. He enjoys a competitive game of badminton in his spare time.

Mr Alastair Barnett – Chair of Governors

Chair of Governors Alastair BarnettAlastair is a senior teacher at d’Overbroeck’s College, Oxford, specialising in Sixth Form and GCSE teaching.  He has been an elder in Witney Community Church and is currently part of the leadership team in Aston and Cote Community Church.  His three sons have all been educated at the King’s School and his wife Hazel is the SENCO in the secondary school.  He is also a Director (Trustee) of Oxfordshire Community Churches.
