Christian in Character 1

Christian in Character

Our school mission statement is to create young people who know God and are trained to serve and influence their generation by Godly attitudes and actions.

Proverbs 22: 6 ‘Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.’

We train pupils towards Christian maturity in ways appropriate to their differing age levels.  This includes:

  • Heart attitude before performance.
    • This means our goal is godly inward attitudes leading toward right outward performance. Proverbs 21: 2 – 3; 1 Sam 16: 7b
  • Respect for those in authority
    • This means that we train pupils towards a biblical attitude and response to those who are older, more experienced or in spiritual authority Titus 3: 1 – 2
  • Faith in God
    • This means students are encouraged in their personal trust of God, of His word, and of His sovereignty in their lives Prov 3: 5 – 6; Romans 8: 28
  • Servanthood and stewardship
    • This means students learning to serve as Jesus did, with faithfulness, stewarding their lives and resources on a biblical basis for Him 1 Sam 12: 24
  • Excellence in effort
    • This means in all things people will try to do their best as unto the Lord Col 3: 17
  • Sacrifice
    • Which means that we attempt to follow Christ’s example in life and service Eph 5: 1 – 2
  • Godly discipline
    • Which means we will train students towards being able to recognise when and where they fall short of the godly standard and see how perfect love offers forgiveness and wishes that repentance and restitution be made Prov 3: 11 – 12; Heb 12: 1 – 12
  • Humility

Which means that we will work towards students putting others before themselves and God’s will ahead of the will of self, thus learning flexibility Phil 2: 3
