Out and About

We undertake a wide variety of trips and excursions across the school in support of the academic curriculum and/or to foster teamwork and develop character.  Not all trips are annual events, but here are some examples.

Stepping Stones: We arrange a number of outings, trips and special events across the year.  As well as Forest School trips and sessions in the outdoor learning area, we also arrange visits to places such as The Cotswold Wildlife Park, Farmer Gow’s, the local firestation and Witney Library.  We also aim to visit nearby Merryfield House in New Yatt Road (a nursing home for the elderly) 2-3 times a year.
Infant trips:  Local area eg our visit to a local garden and our weekly Forest School outings
Lower Junior trips:

 Forest School

Visit to Roman villa at North Leigh

Space-themed sleepover at school

Upper Junior trips: Brecon Beacons Year 5/6 or adventuring together at Yulebury camp  
Lower Secondary: History visit to Warwick Castle Year 7
Adventure Plus day Year 8
Language exchange visits – France Year 8, Germany Year 9

Language exchange – hosting visiting pupils from Germany

Subject specific trips eg France, Geography field trip to examine long shore drift
Year 11 trip – various, most recently Zambia


Trips and excursion costs are kept as low as possible and are payable in addition to school fees.
